Rasmus Kristoffer Pedersen, PhD.
Research Fellow
Working Group: Infectious Disease Epidemiology
"With a background in mathematical modelling of biological systems in general (and of Myeloproliferative Neoplasms in particular), I got acquainted with mathematical epidemiology during my education and early research career.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, epidemiology became my primary research area, with a focus on mathematical modelling (e.g. SIR-type models), data-analysis (e.g. of COVID-19 data) and historical epidemiology (e.g. excess mortality calculations from historical data-material).
In addition to my research interest in mathematical modelling, I also have a strong interest for science communication and data visualization."
