"I work in the field of cancer epidemiology, where we evaluate the German mammography screening programme with respect to its effect on breast cancer mortality, thus generating evidence for decisions on the further implementation and design of this early detection examination in the German health care system. To investigate a possible causal effect, we conduct several observational studies, in which I focus on biases due to confounding caused by missing information in the secondary data and possible correction approaches for this problem."
