Working Group: Infectious Disease Epidemiology
"With a background in public health and spatial epidemiology, my work primarily involves modelling the ecology and spread of vector-borne diseases. I draw on my earlier work studying mosquito ecology and forecasting in Southern California to inform how these models can be made operationally useful. As part of the VBD-MODE consortium, I contribute to a broader effort to model and forecast climate-sensitive vector-borne disease risk in Germany — including West Nile fever, tick-borne diseases, and Aedes-borne diseases — in order to inform prevention, preparedness, and cost-effective surveillance strategies. Through my analyses, I seek to contribute to a better understanding of vector ecology and enhance public health preparedness for vector-borne diseases."
