ARCANE

Antimicrobial Resistance Control through Adaptive Healthcare Networks

The objective of ARCANE is to better understand the dynamic nature of the healthcare network defined by patient transfers between different hospitals, and use the insights gained this way to be able to understand and model the spread of antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) pathogens within this network and propose interventions to curb this spread. We will achieve this by using data about hospital stays to construct hospital transfer networks within Germany and France and simulating disease transmission and non-pharmaceutical interventions on these networks.
